Wow wow and wow! I booked Eden's Horizon for my 40th birthday this weekend just gone for myself and a few close friends. The house is huge! even bigger than in the pictures and we needed for nothing as everything was catered for a large party of people. The house is light, airy and spotless. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and towels. Never a queue for a bathroom either. Even though the house sleeps up to 12 people, it never felt like we were living on top of one another due to the layout of the house, we all had social and personal space for when needed. The garden has lovely views. Kate was the perfect host. Kind, helpful and went over and above board for a few requests I had for our stay. Kate's communication was excellent throughout and I felt very confident and comfortable liaising with Kate at all times. I recommend Eden's Horizon with absolute pleasure for anyone wanting to stay for a week or long weekend in the St Austell area for Eden Project and other areas of interest. We all had a fabulous time and will definitely be back one day! Thank you Kate for being a wonderful host and helping make my 40th so special.

Both Kate and the cottage were amazing! Kate's communication from the beginning, right through to check in and check out was excellent and very efficient. The cottage was a joy to stay in so it was a shame we were only there for a very short period. I highly recommend staying at this place!!

  •   Kate is an amazing host and the house is beautiful. We booked last minute on the morning of our arrival, Kate was really helpful and made arrangements for us at short notice. We had a really lovely stay in Edens Horizon. The house was spotless on arrival with fresh bedding, plenty of towels and super comfy beds! The house is so well equipped for families especially with young children. There is absolutely everything you could need at the house and plenty of indoor and outdoor games to keep the children occupied. Would highly recommend this house, we are hoping to stay again!

This is a great house for a family gathering. All the facilities are great and plentiful. Location is in a quiet area away from the main town and the only disturbance was from the early morning seagulls! Kate is a good host and her communication throughout the booking and the stay was excellent. Her welcome pack contains a very comprehensive guide to all the local amenities including beaches, attractions and eateries. Her attention to detail in these Covid-demanding times was first class.

  •   Kate’s place is lovely, a home from home experience with a spectacular view. The welcome scones were awesome a real treat best we’ve tasted. Kate and Charlotte answered all our questions quickly, nothing was too much trouble and all the recommendations were spot on. St Austell is a great place to base yourself with lots to do on your doorstep and only 30 mins from the fabulous beaches of Harlyn and Porth and the view at Bedruthan is not to be missed! Awesome, loved every minute of our holiday and will definitely be back for more.

Fantastic space for large group’s, really well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The host even unpacked our food delivery. The location is perfect for exploring the area and we made full use of the hosts recommendations for restaurants and day trips. If you’re looking for a large family house this is definitely one to consider. We’re looking forward to a return visit.

The Neighbourhood

Edens Horizon is located in Saint Austell, Cornwall, United Kingdom.

St Austell town is 16 minutes walk to town centre which is on the south coast of Cornwall in a bay with 11 beaches.

Loads of shops, restaurants, pubs, markets, a multiplex cinema cycle tracks and bowling alley. St Austell is the largest market town in Cornwall.

The world famous Eden Project is 20 minutes away by car in one direction and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Mevagissey 30 minutes in the other direction.

The Atlantic north coast of Perranporth and Newquay is 40 minutes by car, with St Ives and Port Issac further along.

St Austell bay has 11 beaches and harbours many of which are used in Poldark filming mainly in Charlestown and are sandy or pebbles.

Par has a lovely sandy beach as does Caerhays and are brilliant for walks and recommended by our guests.

The lovely botanical gardens at Caerhays and Lanhydrock (The National Trust property )are beautiful at any time of year, but especially in Spring and early Summer.

At Porthpean beach their is sailing and golf and in St Austell there is horse riding golf football and a rugby ground. I would recommend Charlestown or Polkerris for special meals.

St Austell has a famous family owned brewery, visits and tours are available and interesting. Beers brewed by St Austell Brewery include Tribute Ale and Proper job.

St Austell is a centrally located in mid Cornwall useful for sight seeing and trips to the 11 beaches in St Austell Bay or to Padstow, St Ives Tate, Fowey or Lands End.
